Appco Australia contributes for the HEART research

The Heart Research Institute praised Appco Group Support Australia for its on-going work to get donations.

Heart Research Institute’s (HRI) National Fundraising Director, Maggie Johns thanked representatives at the recent Appco Group Convention, in Sydney.

The HRI is one of Australia’s leading research organisations working to detect, prevent and cure heart disease, and has made vital findings that have changed the way Australians live with and treat the 'number one killer' of the country.

On March 31, 2012, at the Appco Group's annual meeting, Ms Johns explained the Heart Research Institute was a struggling organization with only $AU200,000 in fundraising income, before they made an alliance with Appco Group in 2011; since then, Appco Group helped generate millions for the HRI.

These vital funds have helped the HRI achieve many of its objectives and be recognized as a world leader in the research of synthetic arteries, genetics and heart disease in its most-modern research facility.

“We really appreciate your efforts and understand the difficulty of the job you do,” Ms Johns told more than 1,000 delegates at the meeting. “At the HRI we are very grateful for all the work you do and the funds raised.”
